GET INVOLVED, MEET UP WITH KCGB FRIENDS AND HELP RAISE MONEY FOR MOORFIELDS EYE HOSPITAL RESEARCH
Join hundreds of walkers, human and canine to walk from Moorfields Eye Hospital to the London Eye, and help fundraise to build a world beyond sight loss.
Eye to Eye is a great way for patients, staff, friends and family to raise funds for Moorfields Eye Charity and to show their support for or honour a loved one. How do you fancy joining in with fellow KCGB members to make up a team?
Every penny you raise will help fund pioneering research at Moorfields Eye Hospital to help create a future where sight loss is a thing of the past. Many of us have had our KC treatment at Moorfields so let’s help give something back!
Eye to Eye raises funds for pioneering research into eye disorders, aiming to raise over £150,000 towards areas of eye research such as glaucoma, the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide, and age-related macular degeneration, the main cause of blindness in adults aged over 60 in the western world. In the four years since Eye to Eye began, donations raised have helped support vital research projects including studies exploring the genetics of keratoconus and the impact of diabetic retinopathy on the structure and function of the eye.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first Eye to Eye walk and was bowled over by how passionate and energetic everyone was – despite the grey weather. It was great to speak to staff, patients and their loved ones while exploring the sights of London. Eye to Eye is a brilliant event and I look forward to taking part again next year.
